It appears that the Scots have been stabbed in the back by Westminster yet again.

The French government said it WOULD accept beef from Scottish herds that were grass fed, rather than fed on dead sheep bits (the English habit).

But, Blair rejected that without telling his lackie Donald Dewar

The upshot? Scottish farmers, whose herds are safer from the BSE problem than many South of the border went out of business.
