Scotland air links to world remain tenuous
Scotland is still avoided by major international airlines, who would rather
fly into London and pay higher fees, suffer longer waits and more crowded skies than
land in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Why? Well its all about money and London keeping all that trade for the benefit of Southern England. Helen Liddell has now gone public to say she supports bringing more
flights from abroad directly into Scotland, which is ONE HOUR closer to North America
than London. Lets see what happens. I predict nothing will change. The 'open skies' US talks will make sure airports in England and especially around London get more US
access and Scotland will get nothing or perhaps a scrap of tripe to shut up.
Just right for a colony I suppose.
