Sleaze and transport for the 21st century
Labour pushed the private finance initiative (PFI) down the Scottish
voters throats at the devolution election earlier in May 1999.
Many 'businessmen', mostly unnamed supported this initiative, and said
an independent Scotland would fail, now we see the reasons why.
The initiative to pump private money into a new transport system for
Edinburgh for 2000 onwards is full of sleaze. Labours manifesto for a new "UK" in 1997 promised to stamp this out.
Now it seems as though at least one PFI business supporter has received a cushy
well paid job to implement it. I wonder if this person was pro or anti
independence?
