Privatisation of Scottish air traffic facilities illegal under 1998 Act
Under the Scotland Act December1998, transport and all transport policy
is a matter devolved to the Scottish parliament. Westminster has no legal right
to try and impose its half baked Tory-like privatization policy on matters regarding the running of air traffic control in Scottish airspace. As the Lockerbie
bombing trial shows and as the 1998 act guarantees, we Scots have the final
b> say in what does and does not happen in our airspace unless (for the moment)
it involves military aircraft(which seem to keep crashing anyway....)
