Scottish transport infrastructure will be ignored by London

John Prescott will dedicate billions of pounds to improving transportation in the "United Kingdom". But as Scotland continues to pay vast sums into Londons coffers, we'll see little of this cash back as our 'parliament' has to fund any improvements from the scraps of cash given back to us under the Barnett formula.

Prescott's 10-year, £179.7bn package - which includes £56.3bn from the private sector - embraced only rail in Scotland, but did not disclose how much will be spent north of the Border.
