Helen Liddell (Tony Blair's lead leech in Scotland) tried hard to force poorly planned changes and increased workload onto Scottish teachers.

Bribes were tried, blatant arm twisting, but the teachers union, the EIS, is holding out for more money (they are badly paid) and a re-think on Londons dim witted plans to ruin Scottish education.
